CeMines approach is to improve the accuracy of cancer detection based on the cell’s regulatory mechanisms that are specifically related to cancer. The Company’s tests are based on unique alternative mRNA splice variants that are associated with specific cancers and on specific antibodies that are produced by the immune system in response to the different forms of cancer. Unlike competing products in the market, or under development, CeMines’ tests do not simply evaluate single biomarkers. Our tests analyze statistical relationships of multiple biomarkers that when combined, improve the accuracy of the testing results.

Abstract: Peptide arrays in lung cancer diagnostics: a novel platform for both diagnosis and differential diagnosis. Numerous studies indicate that cancer is accompanied by altered autoimmunity as detected by the appearance of cancer-related autoantibodies (aAB). Utilizing both protein and peptide arrays, we and others have shown that altered plasma and serum aAB-patterns could be used in cancer diagnostics.

Abstact: Epitope arrays in cancer diagnosis: molecular fingerprinting of cancer patients …As our data indicates, aAB enabling both cancer diagnosis and differential diagnosis can be found in the serum and plasma samples of cancer patients suggesting that epithelial tumors exhibit both shared and tissue specific antigenicity.
